Abstract

This study aimed to identify, in the scientific productions, the healthcare demands of children in situations of violence. A bibliographic review developed in May 2014 in the data bases LILACS and MEDLINE, with the descriptors: “violence” and “child abuse’ and “child”. It was totalized 31 full studies, by the theme content analysis it was highlighted categories. It was found demands: of prevention, of diagnosis, of protection, of surveillance, medical, therapeutic and of social support. These demands showed the need for an integral care to the health of the child as well as to its family’s. So that can happen it is essential to identify the potential cases and to minimize the physical and psychological traumas caused by it. Thus, the actions of care must be rethought with the purpose of qualifying the identifiers of this violence, specially the health professionals.
