Abstract
The skin of premature infants (SPI) is increased sensitivity, fragility and several functions are impaired due to care provided during their stay in neonatal intensive care unit (NICU). Beyond a bibliographical study, it was possible identifying that most scientific production refers to review and consensus about skin care, otherwise essays, clinical trials and observational studies are very rare. The critical reading them allowed me working out a management care proposal including lesions prevention and treatment, such as skin assessment of premature infants; turning position program; reducing a use of adhesives and proper fixed device in order to diminish an amount of changing them; utilizing transparent elastic film dressings to protect their back and securing a peripheral venous access; and often checking them out.
