Health professionals knowledge of the actions of the 5th life day

Abstract
Objective
To analyze the knowledge of the professionals of a Basic Health Unit about the actions of the 5th day.
Methods
Descriptive, qualitative research. An interview script was used for the collection of testimonies, analyzed in their content by the reference of Bardin.
Results
Twenty-four professionals participated among nurses, nursing technicians, community health agents and physicians. The thematic categories were named: Identifying the actions performed with the mother and her baby; The mother in the context of actions: difficulties and limitations; The care network: identifying network points involved in caring for the baby; and Recognizing the difficulties and challenges in carrying out the actions.
Conclusion
The health team feels stimulated, assured and confident in its practice, when based on knowledge about the actions of the 5th day. Its implementation allows the approach of biopsychosocial problems within the family, which can be discussed / solved by the multiprofessional team.
