Abstract Objective To identify practices and nursing interventions related to peripheral intravenous catheterization in newborns and children. Abstract Case report regarding the use of vascular ultrasonography (USV), by nurses, for implantation of a peripheral central insertion intravenous catheter (PICC). The objective of the study was to describe the case of a child undergoing two procedures for the implantation of PICC.
