Family violence to child: a literature review

Abstract
Methodology:
It’s an exploratory literature search in the databases CAPES, BDEFN, LILACS and MEDLINE using the descriptors violence, family and child; violence, and child nursing, with time frame was between 1990 to 2010 The analysis of the articles was based on content analysis of Bardin.
Results:
24 scientific publications were selected and originated two categories: “Violence in health and socio-emotional life of child” and “Nursing atention face the situations of violence against child”. In conclusion it is important to reinforce child violence is a problem with a social dimension that deserves attention in multidisciplinary perspective. It’s supported by an intentional and intersubjective project that needs to engage the child and the family from its social and cultural context to enable a healthy living.
