HEALTH PROMOTION THROUGH MOTHER’S EDUCATION AT ONE ROOMING-IN SYSTEM

Abstract
This study is related to rooming-in system, including its historical trajectory, as well as its advantages and difficulties regarding its implantation and implementation in health care facilities. It views the activities developed by nurse in that system, emphasizing the education given to mothers about caring for their children as well as their own self care, and also suggest the extension of educational process to home setting. In this meaning, we shows a goals of system may be effectively reached. Despite the acceptance expressed by healthcare providers and mothers, it was possible to conclude that many of healthcare institutions do not use system like that, and when they do, it is not totally developed.
