Implemented improvements in nursing care in an outpatient pediatric oncology setting: experience report

Abstract
In regards to the human resources dimension in nursing, many are the factors to be taken in to consideration, such as the complexity of care, quality of care and client satisfaction, as well as the workload and nursing care hours. This is a descriptive study of the type of experience report, of the performance of the nursing staff in a pediatric chemotherapy outpatient clinic, at Barretos Cancer Hospital. This experience report seeks to disclose actions implemented daily, based on the literature and legislation that supoorts them. It was observed that the implemented actions contributed to the improvement in the quality of care provided, in addition to increase the safety and satisfaction of patients and their family members.
