Meeting of care with families of children with respiratory problems in primary care

Abstract
Objective:
To know the encounters of care between professionals and families with children under five years, with respiratory problems in primary health care and emergency units.
Method:
A qualitative study, whose conceptual basis is centered on health care. The empirical material consists of interviews with companions of hospitalized children and health professionals from primary care units and emergency. The understanding of the data by means of the hermeneutic analysis.
Results:
The meetings are marked by careful attention to the main complaint, with short-lived, one-way dialogue, prescriptive and low effectiveness, with a predominance of the technical success instead the practical success.
Conclusion:
Health professionals need to reflect on their practice of care to make the therapeutic meetings more relational, considering the projects for the happiness of those who care for and not just technical success.
