Abstract
The study consists of a survey of information in the fanzine format, about child protection against abuse, existing in the virtual environment, and features them as to: profile of the promoting institution; target audience; type of information and content addressed. It was selected all kinds of fanzine with illustrations, easy to understand language and virtual access. Thus, it formed fanzine: booklets, manuals, leaflets, posters, posters, comic books and booklets. The largest amount of fanzines was found on children’s sexual abuse. This predominance is compatible with the complexity of the problem and the consequent difficulty of intervention. Despite government prevention and harm reduction, few cases are reported, and are hard to design and effective implementation of public policies. These difficulties can be minimized by orientation of the child / adolescent and training of health professionals, in addition to the ordinary citizen awareness. Fanzines are excellent resources for this purpose.
