Integrative literature review, performed in the databases PubMed, MEDLINE and LILACS in February 2019, using the following criteria of inclusion: abstracts or titles that contemplated pain in children or adolescents with cognitive dysfunction; studies published over the last 10 years in English, Portuguese and Spanish.
