Sexual violence against children and adolescent on the city of the Region Northern Brazil

Abstract

The research aimed to describe the prevalence of sexual violence against children and adolescents, and identifying the incidence and know the profile of victims and perpetrators. Study of quantitative, descriptive, retrospective and cross-modality. Data were collected in the attendance records of institutions of the Network Against Sexual Violence Against Children and Adolescents in the municipality of Porto Velho-RO. 216 cases were identified. The female remains the largest number of victims (89% – n = 195). The most vulnerable age group is between eleven and fifteen years of age (56% – n = 128). The male (92%) who still practice more sexual violence. Proven proximity (68%) of the victim with his assailant. It isconcluded that the average recorded was 0.9 cases per day and confirmed that the perpetrator is and is very close, and who should protect children and adolescents.
