Abstract

In this study, we observed the inquiry into the “Therapeutic Group of Massage and Infants Early Stimulation” at Universidade Federal de São Paulo. The phenomenology approach enabled the comprehension of mother and baby’s behavior in massage therapy. We observed the nine infants’ reactions under that procedure, in order to answer the question: How does the baby express himself/herself? We found out that relaxed and alert infants were in mother interaction during massage therapy. Besides, the infants showed a positive feedback with the proper stimulation. The straight baby’s observation in relational dynamics with mother provided by massage therapy aroused the students and professionals to neuropsychomotor children development by turning it into a humanized care.
